Could Liverpool v Man City be OFF? The problem at Anfield ahead of Champions League clash

THERE is a worrying problem for fans at Anfield ahead of the Liverpool vs Manchester City Champions League clash - fog.

The tie between the two Premier League giants is one of the most anticipated clashes in years.

However, with just hours to go before kick off, the fog has descended on Merseyside and is building around Anfield.

“bright sunshine” was replaced by fog within half an hour.

There has yet been no comment from either club or UEFA on the fog.

At its current condition, the weather is not expected to cause an issue to the match.

But if it was to get thicker ahead of the 7.45pm kickoff, there could be a delayed start and a possibility of a postponement.

One previous example of fog causing trouble in the Champions League came in 2001 when Juventus' group match with Bayern Munich in Turin was twice postponed.
